postpartum care

Here is a non-exhaustive list of some things I might help with as you postpartum doula!

Preparing fresh, nourishing meals for you and your family to aid in postpartum recovery

Rocking, feeding, and loving on your bundle of joy while you get some much needed uninterrupted rest

Helping the birthing parent with recovery by providing physical support and prepping soothing aids such as pads and sprays

Supporting your lactation journey with new techniques, positions, and guidance when you hit a fork in the road

Providing evidence based resources for all the topics on your mind

Educating you and your partner on any infant care basics you still want to practice, such as bathing, feeding, changing, swaddling, etc.

Keeping domestic chores such as laundry and dishes moving from task to task

Offering guidance and support for your older children as they settle into their new roles as big siblings, offering age appropriate ways for them to help with baby

Listening to your anxieties, fears, and worries with a calm, loving, and nonjudgmental ear

Acting as a “bouncer” for family members and guests who you may not be ready to see (or inviting people over and hosting them when you are ready!)

Almost anything else you can think of that would help facilitate a calm and happy postpartum period!
